Photographer on Demand (PonD) app now available in iOS and Android

Our dear colleagues, Sir Edwin Tuyay and Sir Richel Mascariñas just recently launched the PonD App last March 25, 2020. The platform was supposed to be for booking a professional photographer for every occasion, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the enhanced community quarantine, they have adjusted and converted their app into a citizen Photojournalist on Demand.

The platform is dubbed as the Grab app for photographers.

How It Works?
As described from their website.

1. Book a Photographer
Just let us know when, where, and what your shoot is for and our system will match you to the best available photographers near you.

2. Show up at the shoot.
Enjoy your special occasion as your photographer captures your special moments for you.

3. Your photos ready in 4 days.
Download your photos within 96 hours of your shoot.

Sir Edwin and Sir Richel have also started a Youtube channel titled PonD App Philippines famously known as the “Kapihan sa Banlat” wherein they teach citizen photojournalism. Learn about the Who, the What, the Why, the Where, the When and the How of photojournalism. Learn the types of photo assignments. They also share tips on how to shoot, select, write the proper caption and provide the right keywords to your news-worthy photos. They also have episodes that provide information how to be an active member of PonD News Asia.
